The St Nicholas Men's Team were officially formed during a Full Council Meeting on Sunday 21st March 2010.
After Club Committe discussions prior to the meeting, it was agreed to forward Ken Fish (Manager) and Ian Reeves (Assistant Manager) to run the team starting in the season 2010 / 2011. Following further discussions in the Full Council Meeting it was also proposed that the team be affiliated with Chipping Sodbury F.C so that both clubs would benefit in the future. This was proposed and unanimously passed.
Ken was choosen because he was running the current U18 boy's team and had a great deal of knowledge about the players that would be the majority of the inaugural team. Ian came from a slightly different background as he was at the time the U13 'A' Girls Manager. Unfortunately his team had lost a number of players during the season and it was deemed impossible to continue the team for the following season. It was important to the club that his girls remained in St Nicholas, kept playing football and enjoying it. His team were therefore split between the U13 'B' team and the U14 team leaving Ian free to take on the role of assistant to Ken..
During the summer break of 2010 Ken and Ian set the wheels in motion and put in place the requirements for St Nicholas to run a men's team...and there the story began.
