A strong first game with excellent performances from both sides and plenty of shots at goal from St Nicholas - one of Ethan Veale's shots at goal struck the post, and Liam Maggs' shot went across the goalmouth. Unfortunately for St Nicks they were defeated 1-0.



The second match again we saw some good football and finally in the first half Winterbourne took the lead. George Court levelled the score for St Nicks briefly before Winterbourne took the lead again, only then to concede a penalty. Jake Alden took the penalty and levelled the game. Now St Nicholas were back looking for another goal but it was Winterbourne to take the lead yet again. St Nicholas fought back and made a break with James Cox kicking the ball into the back of Winterbourne's net. The final minutes of the game were nail biting moments either side so close to scoring before ending in a 3-3 draw at the final whistle.
